Security Warning 2056 - iAssist
At iAssist, we use iAssist Internet Security (IIS) to help protect our clients’ computers against viruses, malware, ransomware, and other cyber threats. IIS continuously monitors your system and reports security warnings back to our internal monitoring platform.
For our Managed Services clients, these alerts are actively monitored by our technical team. We review system health closely and apply fixes or remediation daily as part of the managed agreement.
For Pay‑As‑You‑Go (PAYG) and home users, your computer still reports security issues to our system, however active remediation is not included. In these cases, iAssist will notify you when a security concern is detected so you can take appropriate action.

Issue Detected: Multiple Antivirus Programs Installed
Our system has identified that multiple antivirus or security solutions are installed on your computer at the same time.
While this may seem like extra protection, running more than one antivirus solution is actually a security risk.
Why this is a concern
Having multiple antivirus programs installed can cause the following issues:
Conflicts between security engines
Antivirus programs compete to scan the same files, which can cause system instability, crashes, or false detections.Reduced protection
Conflicts may prevent one or both antivirus solutions from working correctly, leaving gaps in your security.Slower system performance
Multiple real‑time scanners use extra system resources, leading to slow startups, lag, and poor overall performance.Missed or blocked updates
One security product may block updates or threat definitions from the other, reducing effectiveness over time.Higher risk of malware infection
When security software interferes with each other, real threats may not be detected or removed properly.
What you should do next
We strongly recommend having only one active antivirus solution installed on your computer.
